2021 has been an amazing year for Shelby Humane. In 2021, Shelby Humane live released 97% of its shelter animals, solidifying our status as a NO-KILL shelter!

In 2021, we:

• Provided over 4,000 Spay/Neuter surgeries

• Transported over 450 dogs to Shelter Partners in the Northeast

• Expanded our Foster Network to over 115 families

• Developed a Behavior Modification Program to make dogs more adoptable

• Upgraded our Medical Department and expanded our Veterinary Partners

• Provided Low-Cost Vaccine Clinics serving over 2,000 pets throughout Shelby County

• Live Released 97% of the animals back into the community
