About the Partnership

We are thrilled to have a partnership with The Shipman Foundation!

​

They are a nonprofit with a mission to help both service members and rescue dogs find healing through companionship.

​

Through a generous grant, veterans can adopt a companion dog from Shelby Humane at no cost.

 

Applications can be completed through their website at www.shipmanfoundation.com. If we have a dog at the shelter that fits their needs/request, their program director will let us know.

 

Also, veterans can visit the shelter to find their dog without going through the application process, and they will still have the adoption fee waived-- just by showing their military ID.

12 p.m.-5 p.m.
The last animals will be pulled for a meet and greet at 4:30 p.m.
