About the Transport Program

Shelby Humane started the Transport Program in 2006 and has since transported over 9,000 animals to partnering shelters and rescues throughout the United States. Our shelter partners are in states that maintain very strict spay/neuter laws. As a result, they have low intake numbers and are eager to receive pets from our shelter. This program relies solely on volunteer drivers, and we have several transports a month. We are always looking for additional volunteers to transport our animals.
