HOMEWOOD – Shelby Humane is preparing to host its largest fundraiser of the year—the 14th annual Bark & Wine event which will offer a memorable evening dedicated to supporting the life-saving efforts of Shelby County’s leading animal welfare organization.

Bark & Wine aims to deliver a night filled with live music, dancing and delightful experiences, all in service of a charitable cause. The event will take place at Homewood City Hall on Saturday, Feb. 15 from 6-10 p.m.

“This event means so much to Shelby Humane and to the animals we care for,” Executive Director Saundra Ivey said. “It’s a wonderful way for people to celebrate Valentine’s Day, share in a beautiful evening and make a real impact in the lives of homeless animals.”

Attendees will enjoy complimentary wine and beer, cash bar, dinner, wine tasting and both live and silent auctions. Shelby Humane’s Kitten and Puppy Kissing Booth will be offer attendees a photo opportunity, while Spark & Arrow Creative will be on hand to capture couples’ portraits to remember the evening. With free parking available, guests can enjoy the night worry-free.

Proceeds from Bark & Wine will directly support Shelby Humane’s mission to care for and place animals in loving homes. As the shelter’s largest annual fundraiser, this event is vital in enabling the organization to provide food, medical care and support for the countless dogs and cats in its care.

Seating is limited, so secure your tickets early for this must-attend Valentine’s event. Individual tickets are $250 and tables for eight are $1,750. Visit Shelbyhumane.org/barkandwine to purchase.

“Join us at Bark & Wine and make this Valentine’s Day one to remember—celebrating love and life for all of Shelby County’s animals in need,” read an official press release.
